Larry Towell is a master documentarian as he creates absorbing images of of the lives of peoples not normally considered by most of us. We see dramatic scenes from the lives of Palestinians in Gaza, Mennonites in Mexico, war torn El Salvador, 911 aftermath in NYC. And somehow, even his snapshots from his own home and family are equally compelling.
A very interesting project. A simple yet worthwhile concept for a photographer to explore. Who knew what a strange and diverse world could be observed from the top of a bus?
Really interesting portraits as well as gritty and spontaneous editorial shots
This is one of the most diverse portfolios I’ve ever seen. A tremendous amount of work and a huge variety. Compelling images in every category.
There’s something for everyone in Michael’s portfolio. Editorial, portrait, fashion, travel, and some nice-looking conceptual commercial-work.

Incredible portrayals of landscapes and old man-made stuctures. My first impression when looking at these was “this photographer understands light”.
